The Last Flight

This piece is about the last flight of a dying eagle.

Aware of his condition he flies high above his natural habitat and takes in a last view of the beautiful crags, hills and valleys.

Then he flies out across the ocean and climbs as high as his strength permits before plummeting into the sea to find his final resting place - to the sound of the E minor descending harmonic minor scale over the F# diminished chord.
